As Halloween approaches, I can hardly contain my excitement thinking about all of the ghoulish delights and creepy confections that I’m going to be making this month.  Then, I was given wonderful news that my little sister was going to be visiting this week!  A few days before her arrival, my dad sends me a text message containing a picture of a Halloween cake pop she wants me to make for her:

I know, stinkin adorable right?

As much as I wanted to dive head first into making jack-o-lantern cake pops, I was unable to locate orange candy melts…damn you, moms of Santa Monica…muchas effing gracias.  Anyways, as an alternative, I knew that she would love Hello Kitty cake pops just as much.  I made the pops the night before her arrival and set up a fun, little decorating spread for her when she came over the next day…

It did take a little time to prepare all of the sprinkles, etc so I served my family cupcakes while they waited…my sister refused to share the Strawberries and Cream cupcake, however she put on a good show in this picture.  As soon as the camera went away, so did the cupcake.  She wouldn’t even share with her mama.

Suffice to say, she had an absolute ball and I received a special Hello Kitty pop made just for me:

Here’s the whole gang…

Above you’ll notice on the left, Bella made “boy” Hello Kitty’s…

What a cutie patootie…

Love you, Bella!!
